Guests consistently rave about the spacious, well-appointed rooms and convenient ski-in/ski-out location at The Inn at Solitude. While the property features friendly service and excellent amenities like a heated pool, a 2025 review highlights significant noise and ventilation issues that some guests found disturbing.
This is the perfect lodge for a family ski vacation. Modeled on a European lodge, the decor is stone and wood an leather. Service is friendly. Rooms are spacious, well-maintained and well appointed. The pool at the hotel is warm. The pool at Club Solitude is also great. St. Bernard's is a great spot for a cozy dinner. We will be back.
Stayed here a few nights and loved it! The room was huge and had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious every morning. The hot tub was just what we needed after a day in the snow. The restaurants in the village were delicious as well, we were not disappointed. Overall the staff was so friendly and welcoming. Also wanted to call out Samantha at the front desk, she was so amazing. Thanks for a welcome mountain retreat for our anniversary!
Fantastic stay, loved the proximity to the slopes. The breakfast buffet was great, and the food and service at the various restaurants were top notch. My wife enjoyed the spa. The included ski lockers were very convenient. Hot tub, pool, sauna, and gym were all ? We look forward to staying again.
You can hear the neighbors. The sound seems to travel through the vents. And smells travel through the vents. We smelled someone’s bowel movement, and hair spray in our bathroom. It’s enough to make me not want to come back.
Phenomenal rooms. Clean, spacious and had all the amenities we needed! The views are incredible! Beds were so comfortable! Perfect pillows!
I've never had a bad stay here! In the spring, the rates are very reasonable and the amenities are good. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Ski in ski out as the Inn is the closest of the lodgings to the main Apex Express lift. I highly recommend Solitude, especially for spring riding and skiing! When you stay at the end you also have complimentary membership to Club Solitude which has a nice Fitness center, pool and hot tubs as well as a sauna.
Big caveat that I stayed here towards the end of the season and paid half price. I probably couldn't swing the price otherwise. But the location is great, the facilities and amenities are pretty nice, and the staff are friendly.
I always appreciate a good ski in and ski out hotel. The staff are very nice and helpful. I wish that there was a garage to park the car but they do offer a valet for $15 dollars a day and will help unbury your car. They have a little 4x4 to drive you and all your luggage to the car which you have to park at the end of the little village walkway. Honestly not that far but not super convenient for unloading and loading. I always appreciate a hotel stay where I can do a couple loads of laundry and theirs is absolutely free which is nice. Cons to this is that there is only one washer so you have to wait if it’s in use. Overall I would stay here again if I’m looking for a ski in ski out hotel stay with nice staff and not horrifically busy. We even stayed between Christmas and News Years holiday week and the hotel itself did not feel overcrowded. The lift lines however were a different story.
While the Inn at Solitude would be considered a 3.5-star hotel, I'm giving our experience 5 stars. The location of this property is about 50 yards away from one of the main lifts at Solitude, and the service from the staff at the front desk and the restaurant has been nothing short of amazing. The hotel room was a tad noisy and could use some updating, but you can't beat the location. We would definitely stay here again during the wintertime.
Great staff, beautiful area, room had vaulted ceiling and a beautiful view, but the building has no A/C. This became an issue because we were using this room as a bridal ready room and with the hot desert sun shining through the huge window and 8-10 ladies in the room at any given time, it was hot! The staff was great. They provided a couple of box fans that helped a little. My main complaint is that my friends who rented it said it wasn't called out or made known/obvious that there was no A/C. I think it would be helpful if this was called out on the website or communicated to the guests so they can plan accordingly, as it is hard to do hair and make up when everyone is sweaty and sticky. For the price paid I don't think it's too much to ask that the bride be forewarned that her makeup would be melting off her face faster than we could touch it up ???
