I had rushed to this hotel after a truly disturbing experience at the Quality Inn and was met with the best service. The staff was so kind greeting me so late at night and I felt completely safe and joyful to be somewhere that was so clean. I will never in my life stay anywhere else other than the Holiday Inn. Anywhere else I ever stay is an immediate regret and I just love every time I stay with them so much. Thank you for being one of the only hotels left with actual good service and clean rooms. I love the Holiday Inn hotels more than I could ever say.

Recently needed to spend the night in Salt Lake City, so I booked a room here. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. They had a nice pool and hot tub as well. There weren't a lot of breakfast choices, but that's not a big deal to me.

There was a med pitch heavy noise that continued throughout the night. It came from outside. I couldn’t sleep all night and had to call the front desk around 3am to ask to change the room to the other side of the building. The young lady said that she didn’t have the authority to change the room. My solution was to ask for a comforter so I can sleep in the bathroom. This morning I let the front desk know the situation. The person at the front desk was very understanding and offered whatever she could to make me feel better. I walked away with a few cold drinks for the drive and 1000points. I wanted to ask for my money back because I was so irritated from lack of sleep. This never happened to me before. However I knew that the problem was the lack of sound insulation and not the workers problem. I appreciated the service people at the hotel but I don’t think I will ever stay here again.

I had the unfortunate experience of staying here at the HI express in Midvale Thursday night on points no less and everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. First I just want to say that my background staying at hotels is extensive, I am a diamond member with Hilton, Titanium with Marriott bonvoy, Globalist with Hyatt and Platinum with IHG, so I do get to stay at a lot of different brands of hotels across the country every year and this honestly might be the worst all year. Where do I start? Well, I was put on the first floor after booking my room asking for high floor and with platinum status, not sure why they couldn’t have blocked a room for myself when in the notes I did request a high floor, but okay. You would think the staff would take care of their loyal members. The luggage cart I used was broken and was seriously the loudest cart I’ve ever used in my life, it was that loud and embarrassing to push my belongings thru the hallway. Next, the front door to my room was missing the security latch, the bathroom sink wouldn’t drain, so it was flooding, the AC unit in the wall was seriously the oldest unit I’ve ever seen at any hotel, it froze over in the middle of the night so my room got hot and it would sound like it was cracking sounds, so that woke me up the entire night. I was next to the pool on the first floor after asking for a “quiet room” so I could hear everyone running up and down the hallway since there was no sound proofing for the front door. The internet was SO bad, seriously for an IHG property this is embarrassing, went on Speedtest app and maybe 10mbps down and 15 mbps up. The front desk staff wasn’t friendly at all, not once said “hi” or anything while walking by and the check in process was the same. You will honestly thank me later if you skip staying here, I promise you that. I plan on posting this on all my travel sites and telling all my friends, colleagues and family to stay away from here. You’ll thank me later.

Location is outstanding, there's unlimited amount of shopping and food choices. About 10 minutes away from I-215 in about 35 minutes away from Brighton Ski Resort. The rooms were clean and the free breakfast was nice. It has a gym with free weights, yoga mats, treadmills, swimming pool, hot tub, and Lounge area in the front lobby. I never did get extra towels or toilet paper my entire stay, which is why I'm giving service four stars. I did ask the front desk for some extra supplies and they happily offered. The rooms are clean and quiet, beds and linens are comfortable.

Staff was very accommodating. Nice, clean room. Good breakfast with several options, freshly ground coffee machine. What more can you ask for?

This hotel is right next to two ski bus stops to BCC/LCC, which is very convenient. You can also take the bus to the light rail station, allowing you to go into town and rent your ski/snowboard gear or go to and from the airport, all entirely without a rental car. And unlike some other places nearer the light rail station (based on reviews), this place wasn't seedy or loud. I'll definitely coming back here next winter to ski again!

Edited: The 5-Star rating for Service is for one individual - Ashley at front desk. She is exceptional and I sometimes wonder if she even belongs in this hotel, where even something as simple as a smile or a greeting or a nod or just eye contact, is not a standard. My husband and i have been staying here several times over the years and are used to the (often) surly staff. So when I see Ashley at the front desk, I feel a warmth across the entire lobby. I don't expect staff to be extremely friendly but being in the hospitality industry, a little warmth would be nice. Like a slight smile or even a nod. Ashley strikes the perfect balance by being warm, friendly and helpful without being too familiar. Last evening, Rick was at the front desk. He smiled, which was nice. I then remembered Rick being on the evening shift and was always quite friendly during our visits.

Staying here on business, ASHLEY, front desk specialist, is the sunshine of this experience. Always has a smile and a friendly hello whenever I walk in the front doors. She goes the extra mile for you and NEVER a complaint or a huff or a roll of her eyes. Breakfast is good. Facility is kept very clean. Room is great and the location is good.

We had a great time at this Holiday Inn Express. The room was neat and clean, great size for our family. The staff were all awesome and everyone had fun in the pool and hot tub! And the hot tub was actually hot, it was great. Breakfast was hearty and really good. Pancake machine was down, but there were a lot of other great options. We would love to come again, this location was great!
