The Hilton Garden Inn Salt Lake City Airport generally receives positive feedback, particularly praising the friendly and helpful front desk staff and convenient airport shuttle service. While cleanliness and room maintenance are largely viewed favorably, recurring concerns involve shuttle reliability and breakfast pricing.
Nice hotel standard of others like it i their chain. Good shuttle that runs on time. People are all sweet. Had to stay due to a Delta mechanical overnight delay. Salt Lake is always a beautiful place to see with the snow-capped mountains around the basin. Would stay here is visiting too. Breakfast not free but seemed to be reasonably priced to me. Nearby is the Marriot if they are sold out.
GPS first sends me to Doubletree by Hilton. I called all morning asking if I could do early check in at 1. The customer service girl is rude, and is 0 help. She kept saying there isn’t any king rooms clean on the top floor, I called at 8am, 12pm, and arrived at 1pm. I’m told the rooms still aren’t clean. I asked why it’s not policy to ask housekeeping to clean that room first knowing someone is asking to check in early. She said it is but I can’t guarantee they do it??!!! I drove from Portland Oregon and have no idea why this isn’t offered. I tried to sit in the bar to wait and then I find out the bar isn’t open! This is a no go. She offered to cancel my reservation and have me go some place else. I said I already paid and that’s a process to cancel and be refunded. Needless to say I’m frustrated and tired. I have plans at 230 and then again at 7p with no time to change etc. The lack of going above and beyond for customers is absolutely astounding. There are several other hotels around here within walking distance next door to each other. Go there, even Doubletree by Hilton as they were super nice even when I found out I was at the wrong hotel lead by gps.
I have stayed at many hotels over the years due to frequent business travel, and I can confidently say that the Hilton Garden Inn near the Salt Lake City Airport consistently delivers an exceptional experience. From the moment I walk through the doors, I am greeted with professionalism, warmth, and a genuine desire to make every stay comfortable and seamless. The standout feature of this hotel is without question the front desk staff. The ladies at the front are always incredibly accommodating, attentive, and truly amazing. No matter the time of day or how busy the lobby may be, they consistently go above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcomed and taken care of. Whether it’s assisting with an early check-in, answering questions about the area, coordinating transportation, or simply greeting you with a friendly smile, their customer service is top-tier and makes a lasting impression. The rooms are always clean, quiet, and well maintained, which is especially important for travelers coming in late or leaving early due to airport schedules. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are thoughtfully laid out, and everything feels well cared for. It is clear that the hotel takes pride in maintaining high standards throughout the property. The location is also extremely convenient. Being right next to the airport makes travel stress-free, yet the hotel remains quiet and relaxing. Parking is easy, the property feels safe, and getting in and out of the area is simple whether you are traveling for business or leisure. Every stay here feels consistent, reliable, and comfortable — something that is not always easy to find when traveling frequently. It is clear that this hotel values its guests and understands the importance of strong customer service. The front desk team truly sets the tone for the entire experience, and they deserve recognition for their professionalism and kindness. I highly recommend this Hilton Garden Inn to anyone traveling through Salt Lake City. Whether you are staying for one night or several, you can expect excellent service, clean and comfortable accommodations, and a front desk staff that genuinely cares about making your stay a great one. I will absolutely continue to stay here whenever I am in the area.
The rooms were really nice. I found the thermostat controls difficult to figure out due to not clearly being labeled. The biggest negative for me was the situation with breakfast in the morning. Sixteen bucks for a hotel breakfast buffet or menu orders for nine bucks?! Call me old fashioned, but I've never paid for a hotel breakfast in my life! I used to work for Sysco who delivers their foodstuffs. It's the same stuff every other hotel gets so the fact that they charge for breakfast is pretty annoying. My hotel room was covered for work, but I will probably not ever stay at a Hilton Garden Inn again. It just seems like a fake fancy hotel.
Found this gem on an unintended layover. I chose this Hotel for its close proximity and 24 hour complimentary airport shuttle service. The front desk Team member was very professional, pleasant, and presented a "I love my job" personality. The next morning my experiences with the early morning front desk, and shuttle driver were equally enjoyable. Overall my stay was short, but the time I was there, it was obvious from looking at how the day to day maintenance operations of the facility, that the Team members who work here have the same goals and professional as those Team member I was fortunate to encounter. Thank you Team Hilton Garden Inn for turning an unexpected SLC delay into a pleasant experience.
Unreliable airport shuttle. Unfortunately, I can't say that I'd recommend staying at this Hilton Garden Inn. I've never had any trouble with Hiltons in the past, however, I can definitely say that I won't be staying here again. Our flight arrived late and we were excited to use the 24 hr shuttle to get to the hotel. We got to the pickup curb at 2:45am, called the hotel to ask about the shuttle - and they said that there would be one coming shortly. 30 minutes later, not shuttle had come so we called the hotel back and they said that it would be coming soon and to wait. 30 minutes after that (a full hour after we got to the curb) the shuttle still hadn't come and we had to Uber to the hotel. Once we got to the hotel we noticed the shuttle parked and cold in front of the hotel (no sign of a driver anywhere). We wouldn't have been as frustrated if the concierge had just told us the truth - that a shuttle was not coming anytime soon. We were also placed in an accessible room when we weren't in need of an accessible room. Minor, but the shower floor was a hazard as it was so slippery that I almost fell multiple times. I'd recommend checking out the other hotels close to the SLC airport before booking a room here.
The Hilton Garden Inn was nice. The hotel was clean, as were the rooms. The staff was very professional and very helpful. The breakfast, though not free, was very good as well. The reason I rated it a 4 overall is because the water in the shower was lukewarm, and the tub was very slippery. There needs to be some sort of traction straps in the tub, or someone may take a hard fall. Also, the water needs to be hotter, so people will actually have the option of taking a hot shower. Other than those two things, everything was outstanding.
Stayed 2 nights, cleaned room, great service. Their shuttle was delayed to airport. They arranged a Lyft for us and also covered the cost.
Our stays at Hilton hotels are consistent. Consistently great! Today, we got in late, tired, and dirty. However we were surprised that there was a restaurant in the lobby. We had an amazing dinner! Thank you to Edwin and our two chefs Magaly and Carlos! Our dinner was fresh and delicious!
Comfortable bed, very polite and serviced staff. I was easily able to obtain additional hangers. Don't drink the water in the room unless you are a gold silver platinum member or you'll get charged $3. The room was a little noisy, but ok.
