The Hilton Garden Inn Salt Lake City Downtown consistently receives positive feedback, particularly highlighting its friendly staff, clean rooms, and convenient location. Guests appreciate the comfortable accommodations and helpful service, especially during travel. However, recent reviews have raised concerns about unexpected fees and changes to established policies.
I enjoyed the stay up until the last couple hours. The key just stopped working & I had to be issued another one, & room service (for some reason) knocked & walked directly in my room before I even had a chance to address them @ the door. I don't even know how the key worked so fast for them. They serve a breakfast in the morning but it's not in the over 200$ price of the room so I've had better stays & I've had worse ones too.
Salema D, Sales Coordinator was everywhere during our conference. If there was a need she would just appear with a smile and get the job done. Keep going the hard work pays off!
Friendly staff, fine hotel room, and daily housekeeping. My only critiques are that the coffee maker is the room is pretty dirty (though that's the case at almost all hotels) and the bed sheet had a tiny crusty brown stain on it that I hope was from coffee and a random stray hair on the pillow. Wouldn't mind staying here again.
Had to spend a night outside SLC airport, and this was a wonderful stay! The staff bent over backwards for us. We loved everyone we interacted with. The room was very comfortable. It successfully decompressed us from a tough travel day.
We had a very nice stay. The facility is updated and staff is excellent! Our room was nice and clean, comfortable temperature and parking feels secure. Everything was enjoyable and the front desk staff so friendly! Thanks and we will be back!
Me and my son had a wonderful stay! I really appreciate the staff. The front desk girl Cassandra was so friendly, well spoken, and an all around great person to deal with. The breakfast staff was amazing as well. Carmen, the cook, made the most amazing omelets and was so friendly and kind. I would recommend staying here anytime.
Hilton Garden Inn Salt Lake City Downtown is an excellent place to stay — comfortable, clean, and perfectly located. The rooms are spacious and modern, with cozy beds, large bathrooms, and all the amenities you need, including a microwave and fridge. The staff is exceptionally friendly and professional, always ready to help and make your stay pleasant. The lobby is bright and welcoming, and the on-site restaurant serves delicious breakfast and dinner options. Parking is easy, and the hotel is within walking distance of many downtown attractions. Whether you’re traveling for business or leisure, this Hilton Garden Inn delivers great value and true hospitality.
I was in town for a week long work trip and ended up booking this hotel which was such a pleasant experience. The staff were some of the friendliest and most helpful people I have ever met and were so warm and welcoming every time I intersected with them. The room I had was nice and clean and the entire hotel felt extremely clean and had a nice smell to it. The location is about a mile away from the freeway as well so getting onto the freeway every day was painless and quick. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to everyone.
What a great place to stay. Our rooms were comfy, loved the black out curtains. Pool was great, staff was friendly. Love the range of options for getting food at all hours
Great so far! I'm only half way thru a 4day stay, and it has been so pleasant. We called for a late check in - everything went fine. Front desk is very friendly with asking questions about why we might be late, what brought us to SLC, informed us of all the amenities (24hr pool, business, laundry) there's even a restaurant (for pay) and a mini "airport" style kiosk (with cold stone ice cream 8$ a cup-only a couple dollars more than getting it from cold stone and the cup was packed, so decent deal if you want ice cream without going anywhere). If you drink coffee and need more than the hotel provides- there's a Starbucks *right* next door that's literally walking distance. This note is a little strange but it does tell about the hotel - the staircases are carpeted *but in great condition* with amazing lighting. And yes there are working elevators (we just happen to be up and near the end, easier to use stairs). Shower/bathroom was very clean with working hot water, pressure is nice. Bathtub is an okay size (what do we expect these days really tho) but it was clean and worthy of use. Really good rolling drop down blinds. One offers black out, one offers shade (or you can have both) Only "iffy" things I can think of to include so far are: Including this because we all forget about it sometimes - $50/per night incidentals fee, reimbursed as long as you don't mess anything up There is a 10$ night parking fee (small lot, but seems fairly safe, *have not* seen anything/anyone sketchy around. Room offers a Keurig (free) and two water bottles (free for members) that are $1 a piece for everyone else (not a bad price, but read the tags before you open it!) Only one side of the hotel has a decent view of the mountains, which if you think about it - makes sense. We got lucky with a mountain side view. If you're a bit peculiar about the view just make sure to call ahead about the reservation and I'm sure they could help.
