Breakfast is wonderful, rooms are clean , staff is friendly, did experience issues two times that stayed here. There’s no bathroom ventilation and when I inquired at the front desk,They know it doesn’t work. They just kept throwing rewards points at me, but much rather would have ventilation for my room being like a swamp rather than points. Also, please note they allow people to smoke right outside the front doors. If you’re a smoker no problem if you’re not a smoker or if you have children who don’t like secondhand smoke, this could be a problem. Other than that ok stay here ,water park for kids I think is what attracts this holiday inn kiddos loved it. Prices fluctuated 100$ between 4 days here so check before booking

Overall, I had a great stay. The hotel offered excellent service, and the amenities were great for the price, making it a good value. I booked two rooms, and both were clean and comfortable. The only issue was that one of the rooms had a noticeable odor when we first entered. While it wasn’t overwhelming, the light smell lingered throughout the night. Other than that, everything else met our expectations, and I would consider staying here again.

The door card is not working! We need to ask to redo the door card for 5 times. Very tired. Breakfast is very good. Water park is amazing. Hope they can improve the door card system. Bed is nice.

Went to check in at 4 and our room still wasn't ready. When walking in, the room had a very musty smell. The carpet had multiple stains and food crumbs on the floor. There was also what looked like to be coffee stains on the one bed so makes you wonder if they even cleaned the room at all. We paid online and when checking in was charged a $50 deposit that they said they would return when you check out. It has been 2 weeks now and still no refund. I had called once on it and they said allow 7-10 business days. The pool was nice for the kids! The breakfast was also good.

I love this hotel. It was clean. The kids loved the pool and it was the perfect place to stay on the road with my dog. The people were very helpful. The staff were very helpful. The food for breakfast was really good and our room is so spacious the beds were very comfortable. I like soft.

The shower here is the best. They're clean, have good water pressure, they don't use shower curtains (it has a sliding glass shower door), there are places to put shower items and bars to hang wash clothes and towels. The staff is great! The breakfast is great, for hotel breakfast. The pool is nice, heading to the hot tub now. The bed is pretty comfy. Rooms can always be cleaner, but the house keeping staff here does a great job. Sunrise looks pretty cool too. ?

Stayed two nights at Holiday Inn Express & Suites West Valley City with my wife and son during a staycation, and I’m pretty sure the pool area is either a family amenity or a low-budget waterpark designed by someone who just discovered caffeine. The slide wasn’t just a slide, it launched my kid into the water like he was being deployed into battle, and honestly I considered signing a waiver before going down myself. The pool had that perfect mix of chaos and chlorine where every splash felt slightly illegal but completely worth it. My son declared it “the best hotel ever,” which is high praise considering he once ranked a gas station nacho machine in his top five life experiences. Seriously no joke Slept great, laughed harder, and would absolutely come back just to risk my life on that unhinged aquatic missile again.

I like the location of this hotel. The desk workers were amazing and they answer all of my questions. The breakfast team was awesome and the breakfast was really good. The AC in the room is loud though, the fan in the bathroom doesn't work and the room smells strong, maybe the carpet needs to be cleaned.The mini fridge came in handy, the bathroom was clean and the beds are comfortable. I will definitely stay again in the future.

This is the worst Holiday Inn I’ve ever stayed in, no question. The room had a strong musty/moldy smell, the mini fridge was leaking water all over the tile entryway, the filthy peel-and-stick carpet tiles were pulling up. The entire room/bathroom was dingy and disgusting. And my god the mold smell! I could have booked a nicer airbnb for $100 cheaper, but we thought the kids would enjoy the Grins and Fins pool area. The water was freezing. It’s described as a “splash pad,” but the shallow end is a foot deep and too much for a 2 year old. There are no age/size rules for the various pool areas so there were big kids knocking the littles over. So we paid extra money for an amenity that we couldn’t even enjoy. I complained to the front desk both nights about how dirty our room was (housekeeping never came to do a stay-over clean even after specifically requesting the floors be cleaned) and all they did was give me rewards points. So if I wasn’t a member could I have received a partial refund? Doesn’t seem worth it to book as a member. We’ve recently stayed in Denver CO and Cheyenne WY and didn’t have any of these issues, so it’s not a Holiday Inn problem it’s this specific hotel is nasty. Beware.

We live locally (about 40 minutes away). My son had a day off school so we decided to go on a staycation. We have seen the hotel with a waterslide from the freeway for years and were interested in staying here. Overall we had a good time. Pros: the staff was very friendly and professional. The breakfast was tasty and had a great variety of choices. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The pool was the highlight. It was quite large and lots of fun for the kids. Cons: the insulation is poor. We could hear every step from above and our neighbors TV. The big waterslide (the reason we booked this hotel) is only open on the weekends. Since we were there on a weekday, so we didn’t get to use it. But, overall we had a nice stay.
