Rented a room for the speedskating worldcup. The room reeked of smoke when we walked in. My wife and I have never smoked a cigarette in our entire lives. We take extremely good care of ourselves and smoking is an absolutely disgusting habit. As there was a shortage of rooms in the area due to the world cup, we decided to not raise any complaint and we tolerated the smell during our stay and went home and washed our clothes and moved on with our lives. We were very surprised to see that we were charged $150 extra for "smoking in our room" . When we contacted the hotel about the fraudulent charge, we kindly approached the manager Audrey, who lied and told us they the room did not smell before we checked in. She also claimed that cleaning staff said that it did not smell before we used the room. Those are obvious lies and utter BS as the room reeked of smoke when we entered it. She accused us directly of smoking in the room, and would not listen to us and continued to accuse us of smoking in the room. This is all lies and afterhand construct to stiff us of $150. This seem like a scam to charge extra money. This place is a dump with shotty dishonest management. Will take this higher up if their fraudulent charges are not taken off.

Nice cute and spacious rooms with a kitchenette. Very clean. We didn't know that we had to ask for housekeeping service to get our room organized. We didn't know whether it was an extra charge or got asked at the front desk if we needed one. ?

If you like unhelpful and rude staff who don’t know anything about the hotel or how to do your job, this is the perfect hotel for you. When we first walked up to the hotel the only staff member (Kim) was outside smoking a cigarette with her friends and took several minutes to get inside to help us check in. We then had some complications with our room which we would not be able to check in and would require a refund which Kim then responded by saying she couldn’t do anything for us and didn’t know the number or email of someone who could help us find a solution and also didn’t help us figure out how to get the number of the people who could help us. Then after that she walked away and continued to hang out with her friends in the lobby. Bs service and still haven’t been able to get a refund

My husband and I are pretty nomadic for part of the year due to his work. I'm a stay at home writer so I'm usually at the hotel a lot during the day. We stayed for a month (maybe a little over), and I felt extremely safe, welcomed, valued, and cared for. If I needed anything, they were attentive and helpful. Because of our experience here, we ended up staying with another MyPlace in Reno, NV for his next job (was also an amazing stay). Overall, a great hotel with wonderful humans!

Though the room had a stove, a microwave, & a full-size fridge, we were amazed that there was nothing to cook with and no plates, bowls, silverware, etc. They did have some of this for sale...the staff was helpful and loaned us a tiny frying pan and a few other things. We like to cook our own food. That's why I chose this hotel. I won't go back.

The room was clean and the bed was comfy. But there were a few problems, the bathroom is very echoing, there was no separate light switches either so the single switch turns on both the light and fan. There is also only 1 light switch by the front door that brightens up the whole room which is annoying because there should be multi light switches to turn off and on parts of the room. When I would walk by the front desk there would always be no staff available. They didn’t have any free breakfast available either.

Wow! Where to even begin…? My husband has bad sleep apnea and needs to sleep with a CPAP machine. Well we were fast asleep when all of sudden the power went out which woke my husband because his CPAP machine stopped working, he tried flipping the breaker which was located in our room but nothing was happening. He woke me up with all commotion and I tried calling the front desk but nothing one picked up. So I had to go down to the lobby to tell someone about the power. She called her manager and they both had no idea how to fix the issue. They decided to put us in a different room. So my husband and I had to use our phone flash lights to try pack up our room in pitch blackness and move to a different room. Next day, trying to shower in the new room, barely any water pressure, the shower knob kept falling off. Brushing teeth and the sink drain stopper was stuck so the sink wouldn’t drain. They will not refund part of our stay because we booked through a “third party”. Pretty sure there is a way, they just don’t want to deal with it…Just an overall worst experience of my life. Will never stay at another My Place ever again. And I will advise everyone I know not to stay there as well.

Customer service here goes above and beyond! I especially want to thank Shay and Kim for helping me resolve my issue. I stayed at the hotel for one night and ended up forgetting my laptop. I was convinced that I had taken it with me when I left and looked for my laptop for over a week. With no other ideas left of where it could be, I called the hotel to see if they had it. They did have it and held onto it for me in a secured room until I was able to come get it. They are so kind and professional! Not to mention the rooms are incredibly clean and so affordable! If I ever need to book in the area again, it will definitely be here. Thanks to this amazing team again for helping me get my belongings back. Rest assured that you and your personal items are safe in this hotel!
