This property is mixed, with distinct praise for cleanliness and service at times, but severely undermined by alarmingly poor safety measures and a lack of communication that has forced significant refunds.
We stayed here primarily to take advantage of airport parking and shuttle service. This was our 4th time doing this. After our flight landed I called the hotel “like we always do” and was informed the shuttle would be right there to pick us up. After waiting in below freezing temperatures for 25 minutes I called again and was informed the shuttle hadn’t left yet. When I asked why, I was told it doesn’t just leave to pick people up and has a schedule to follow. The girl working the front counter at 6:30 am then hung up on me. I called the tru by Hilton that shares the shuttle, and was told the shuttle would be right there. Both the shuttle driver and the employee at the Hilton apologized that no one had informed them we were waiting for a shuttle. Shuttle driver was great, Hilton employee was great, comfort inn employee was a swing and a miss. Would not recommend if you are planing on using them for anything that will require customer service.
They had good hot breakfast, a hot tub pool, and decent little gym with dumbbells up to like 50 lb. Only complaint I have is the shower water was either way too hot or too cold and was difficult to get it in-between, I eventually got it to get to a reasonable temperature to shower but thought it was a inconvenience for me. Other than that it was fine. Great view of mountains on the outside.
Attempted to have breakfast along with a whole bunch of other guests, and the food was gone. Had to ask for a replenishment. It took forever to get more food prepared. A lot of people walked away discouraged. Coffee tasted more like colored water. This was a horrible breakfast experience. In contrast, the room, and desk service were great!
*NOT SAFE FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN* After staying at this location over the weekend, it felt necessary to post a review regarding an experience we had. To start and give credit to the hotel staff, the service was good. The hotel isn't anything beyond the basics, but the breakfast provided in the morning was sufficient and the room was clean enough (despite the strong odor of marijuana at night). The staff did a good job as far as services. The location is very close to the airport and the freeway, which is convenient but probably contributes to the problem we had. Our team had a tournament over the holiday weekend and due to a stay to play clause in our agreement, we were required to stay at this location. Upon check in, we were advised of the standard info, but the clerk was specific to include the fact that our children were not to be unattended in the shared spaces of the hotel. The following morning, after breakfast (around 7am), while loading up, one of our children from our team was approached by a woman from the passenger side of a white diesel truck to leave with her. After she was unsuccessful in luring him, she exited the vehicle to get closer to him, presumably to physically get him to go with her. He, thankfully, was smart enough to enter the car and lock the door. At this time is when his father exited the hotel to the parking lot, so she immediately got back into her truck and the driver sped away. It was a close call that could have ended very differently and heightened all our awareness of the area for the remainder of our stay. After filing a police report and getting more information from other parent stories, it turned out that this is a known problem to the hotel. One employee went as far as to tell a parent that "people take people here" when she noticed one of the kids alone more than once. It made more sense to us why the check in instructions included the kids not being unattended. I will say that the staff was very on top of doing the best they could but did not directly disclose upfront. They were very helpful in providing video footage to aid the police report. It would be nice if they had more security presence. We did see police patrol by 2 other times through the weekend. There were many other hotels in that general area which I'm sure have encountered similar issues. I would be aware if you stay here, especially with children.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay was genuinely disappointing, especially for a hotel labeled as 3-star. The property feels extremely outdated and closer to an old roadside motel than a modern hotel. The interior finishes are particularly unsettling: • Heavy spray-textured walls and ceilings with inconsistent patterns • Visible patchwork and poorly done repainting on the ceiling, which makes the room feel unfinished and neglected • Old, dark carpet colors that add to an overall creepy and uncomfortable atmosphere Even budget hotels today no longer use this kind of wall and ceiling treatment. The photos attached speak for themselves — the space feels tired, unrefreshed, and frankly uncomfortable to stay in. The bathroom experience was equally underwhelming. The cheap plastic ice bucket, plastic tissue box, and overall motel-style accessories feel very low-end and out of place, even for this price range. A small upgrade in materials would make a big difference, but it’s clear no meaningful renovation has been done in years. What made the experience worse was the hot tub situation. Before arriving, we called the hotel and were told the pool and hot tub were open until 10 PM. At check-in, we asked again and were told the same. After a full day of skiing, we were really looking forward to soaking — only to find the hot tub cold and unusable. Only then did we notice a small sign nearby saying it was under maintenance. This should have been clearly communicated upfront. Instead, we were repeatedly given incorrect information. When we raised this issue with the front desk, the response was rude and dismissive, which only added to the frustration. For the price range, there are absolutely much better, newer, and better-designed hotels in this area with a far more comfortable atmosphere and honest service. This property seriously needs renovation and better staff communication.
Jose’, Jessica and Lauren were amazing to my daughter and I. Unfortunately my company did not have a card in file for business purposes and we were evicted from our room the manager didn’t call us and moved our things to the office ( not was gross to have someone touch my personal belongings) we were rebooked and had to wash everything because our shoes were tossed in bags with clean clothes (disgusting) a phone call should have been made and we did not receive notice). A 3 weeks stay was okay and again the names above were awesome. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job as well.
The hotel itself was great! Clean and easy after coming in on a very late flight. Unfortunately, my daughter forgot her belt bag/ purse in the room. I was able to call to make arrangements to come back to get it- staff were friendly and kind. After getting the belt bag back my 9 year old was devastated to realize someone had taken $70 worth of target gift cards from her wallet. Luckily, she didn't have any cash in the wallet. Really disappointing that a staff member stole from a 9 year old. Won’t return.
My family flew into Salt Lake City in early October and stayed at the Comfort Inn. We were supposed to stay there 2 nights. We were given room #205. After a long day of travel we were so glad to be there. When we got to the room we immediately noticed that there was a dull roaring sound and the floor vibrated. When laying down in the bed the shaking of the room became even more intense. This did not make for an enjoyable stay. Needless to say, we decided a 2nd night would not be wise. We were going to take showers at least before searching for a new place and noticed that the drain of the shower was completely choked full of hair (disgusting). None of us took showers after discovering this. We talked to the front office staff who informed us that they could not refund us due to there not being a manager there at the time. We were informed that on Monday (when the manager arrived back at the hotel) our money would be refunded. Monday came and went with no contact or refund. Once we got done travelling and arrived back home I contacted the manager. They were sorry to report but they could not refund us due to it being booked through a 3rd party (hotels.com was who it was originally booked through). I decided instead of wasting more on my life with this despicable place that I would leave a review on how our stay actually went. Hopefully you don't make the same mistake that I did and stay SOMEWHERE else.
Highly Recommend The hotel is nice, new and clean. The housekeepers always greeted us with a smile and we had to tip them for their hard work. The front desk clerk Andrew was super friendly and accommodating. I have nothing but good things to say about Andrew the staff housekeepers and our terrific experience. Our room was priced very well too. Super thanks to Andrew and the housekeepers
The rooms are good and the staff is polite but the breakfast is a disaster. They were out of almost everything at 8:30. There were even things that take no time to prepare like forks, spoons, water, coffee or bread out of stock. There were only eggs for hot items. I could hear the guy responsible for the breakfast area talking on his phone constantly. Pool water was also cold.
