The hotel is nice and clean. The issue is with all of the additional fees that aren’t clear when booking. We were traveling with a dog and the pet fee says $75 online it was $100 when I checked in. The $25 parking isn’t communicated well. If I knew it was going to be that much I would have just stayed somewhere else. They’re much nicer more interesting places to stay at that price. The front desk staff were unhelpful and came across as rude. They seemed unable to answer questions or make any decisions without first contacting a manager, who was not onsite. The interaction typically went like this: Guest: "There's a discrepancy with my reservation." Agent: "I can't help with that. Let me check with the manager." 20 minutes later... Agent: "The manager said no." Guest: "Can you explain why?" Agent: "No, that's just what I was told." This created unnecessary delays and made it difficult to get simple questions answered. The front desk staff appeared to have little authority, and every request seemed to be denied by management without explanation. The hotel also seemed understaffed, and the front desk agent was clearly overwhelmed. I expect a much higher level of customer service from a Hyatt property.

This hotel was amazing! It had the best lobby of any hotel we stayed at during our trip. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room was extremely clean, spacious, and comfortable. The breakfast was great with plenty of options to choose from. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again.

Had a great stay here? Check in was at 3 and check out was at noon. I really appreciated that extra hour on either end. Had a single king room. Was really clean, bed was so comfortable that I fell asleep for a little power nap upon arrival. We just spent one night so we could go see Jonny Obeid at Wiseguys, and this was the perfect choice for hotel because we were just a hop and a skip away, so after a couple drinks at the show when I really had to pee it was easy breezy to get back. We did miss our chance to get dinner, and tried to find somewhere open late on a Wednesday night, but this is SLC so we were SOL and ended up having to order in door dash. The staff was great, the front desk man was super friendly and we ended up chatting for a while. The cleaning staff too was really kind. I was impressed enough with the staff that I will choose this hotel next time I am in the city.

Loved this hotel. To start with the personnel at the service desk were super friendly and kind. They made sure my vehicle parking was vouched for and offered a trolley for our bags. The room was super clean and we slept great on the comfy bed. Even though we were on the first floor near a sidewalk, no noise from the street bothered us at all. Will absolutely use this as our go-to hotel for SLC.

Excellent pricing for the location and quality of rooms + amenities. The large standing shower was superb. Lighting and swivel TV were all wonderful. Very modern lobby and close parking garage that gets validated for hotel patrons. Our only complaint was how creaky and loud it gets if you have someone staying above you. We were woken up multiple times by people walking around, dropping items, scooting chairs, and talking. You can hear just about everything. I can’t help but drop a star just for this reason. If we had stayed longer, I would have requested moving to a top floor room. Aside from this one issue, we had a quick and comfortable stay.

One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had! Hyatt will steal your money and book your room for someone else to double their profits!!! I booked a non-refundable two-night stay for New Year's Eve. Due to a family emergency, I couldn’t check in the first night, so I called the hotel, clearly stating I was not asking for a refund, only asking them to hold my room since I’d arrive the next day. The employee assured me, “I’ll make a note so you’re not marked as a no-show.” When I arrived the next day, a very rude employee told me my reservation was marked as a no-show and my room was given away. He acted like there was nothing he could do. After 10 minutes of discussion, he finally mentioned the Marriott next door had available rooms, warning me to run because I’d get a ticket after 15 minutes in their garage without validation. He refused to validate the car for me. This man then tried to separate me from my group, saying, “Leave them here, follow me, we’ll run to the Marriott,” which made me extremely uncomfortable. I insisted we wait literally 10 seconds for my group to grab luggage and come with. He walked us halfway to the Marriott, then went back to the Hyatt. The Hyatt employee had said they texted the Marriott about the situation, but when we got there, we saw the text provided hardly any detail. So Marriott tried to charge me for the night, even though Hyatt said I’d already paid and wouldn’t have to pay twice because they caused the issue. Thankfully, Courtney at the Marriott was incredibly kind and saved the day. Do not stay at the Hyatt!

An essential service of a hotel is sleep. On this, the hotel management has clearly weighed the costs and decided that a certain percentage of guests will simply not sleep. They have a known problem of broken thermostats documented in other google reviews and acknowledged by the front desk. In the middle of the night the temp rose to 73 which is not a good sleeping temp. After trying to address the issue for an hour in the middle of the night, we determined it was broken. The front desk gave us batteries which did not work. And a fan which just is not the same as a functioning HVAC. Its likely that the next guest will be invited to stay in the same room with the same broken thermostat. Management invests tons of money into heating pools that are barely being used while they neglect completely our essential needs. I've not encountered this issue at any other hotel on our road trips, making this one exceptional. The staff is all wonderful, it is really unfair to them they have to field problems with the core service offering.

Great location. Overall very nice clean suites: Full sized refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, and micro. (No oven). Comfy sofa. Small quirky TVs (but there's one in every room which is nice). Quiet rooms. Large, nice bathroom. Only quibble: we've been here 3 times because we love it, but every room has lamps in the bedroom with power recepticles on the base. None of them work reliably so we end up unplugging them and moving the night stand and plugging into the wall. Not a biggie. Very nice staff too.

Very good hotel; nothing that really blows the doors off, but it's clean and spacious. Staff is particularly kind, and do a great job both of offering to help, and having a sense of when you'd rather not interact with folks. I will certainly check availability at this hotel first if I find myself on SLC again in the future!

Very average, standard hotel, you get what you pay for. However, the rooms are looking quite run down, the furniture and walls are showing wear. There's an over head light in the lobby that flickers every five minutes. The staff are great though, although the front desk seems to be a bit under staffed. The walls are a bit thin, I could hear voices from the room next door
