This Hyatt location offers a comfortable, spacious stay with excellent amenities and staff, though noise levels and strict no-refund policies are major drawbacks. Guests praise the early morning shuttle service and clean, functional rooms, particularly those with kitchenettes.
We booked this hotel after our flight was delayed, and we were so grateful for how accommodating they were despite the last minute booking. The atmosphere is very comfy and laid back, yet still feels safe and well managed. The concierge was helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast was decent and the meals leaned very American in style. The location is also very convenient, just about 5 to 10 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport. Overall, it was a good and restful stay, and we truly appreciated the warm service during an unexpected travel change.
This is my good experience: Room is very good, better than expected. The lady at front desk is nice and welcoming. Pool is smaller than it seems in the photo, but very clean. This is my bad experience: Went to the bar at lobby. No waitress. The nice lady at front came and asked me if "she" was there. Me: I don't know. I need a beer please. Nice lady: it's not my job to take the order. It's the waitress job. Me: Could you get her? She goes to the back and comes back: she's washing the dishes. Me: I can really use a beer. She reminds me again that I have to wait for the waitress. Isn't that funny? The customer has to "wait" for the waitress. :) Nice lady: I can order your good to the cook. I ordered the burger, while waiting for the waitress to come and officially take my order and finally maybe hand me a beer. She finally comes. Me: can I have a beer please? She replies without turning her head towards me: "no you have to order food in order to have a beer". IS THAT OFFICIAL HYATT POLICY??? Then when I explain that I've already ordered, she insists that I have to order from "here". She was very rude, and did not apologize for her attitude. I finally lost my appetite and went back to my room. No beer, noo food. Never going to Hyatt again
This hotel is just okay—nothing particularly special. However, if your travel plans change due to weather issues or a flight cancellation, don’t expect any flexibility. They do not offer refunds and are surprisingly unkind about it. Yes, I’m aware of travel insurance, but sometimes it’s simply not worth it for a short trip. The only real benefit is its proximity to the airport and the free shuttle. Other than that, there’s not much to recommend. Pricing is also a concern—rooms typically average around $150, but during ski season they jump to about $350. This is absolutely not a $350 room. The property is located in the middle of an industrial area and lacks any real sense of hospitality
While the breakfast was amazing and the rooms looked nice. I had 2 issues that guests should be aware of. 1. The key card kept shutting down and I had to go back 6 times to get to replaced. 2. Beware of the pool, we have rashes and pimples after leaving the pool even days later.
Hotel is fine - pretty typical airport adjacent hotel. The service was unfortunately pretty awful. I arrived late from messed up flights and when I checked in I asked for a 5:30 am shuttle. I was told “great, you’re all set” and asked to get to the lobby five minutes early the next morning. I saw the person write it down on a piece of paper as she confirmed it with me. The next morning, when I arrived at 5:25 in the lobby I was told there was no shuttle coming and not one in the schedule for 5:30. I was asked to take the 6 am shuttle instead (which I would have if I could have! More sleep would have been great). Someone clearly messed up and there was no effort to make it right. Instead I had to pay for a ride share to get to the airport on time. Very disappointing.
It's a nice place. Most folks are here on a layover from the airport. There's a shuttle for that. Bed was very comfortable. Noise from highway and airplanes is a bit much. Nice people at the reception area. Good spread for breakfast. Other amenities fairly standard to ok. 10 minutes to downtown.
The room was very nice! It had a kitchenette and an area for watching the TV and the bedroom was separated by a opaque wall. We really enjoyed our night there. And the shuttle to and from the airport was a big plus!
My friends and I stayed here while we got situated before a big camping trip. What we loved: -Sofia was so helpful at the front desk. She was able to accommodate us with a later checkout and was very friendly and willing to help. -The beds and pillows were very comfortable -The location was very close and convenient to the airport -The free airport shuttle -The free breakfast included in our stay The one negative- There was an odd smell in our room, Almost like vinegar or something sour. The lobby was extremely strong smelling of cleaner which is nice to know it’s clean but incredibly overwhelming to the senses.
Generally grew stays here at this SLC airport hotel. Rooms and service are good. I'm disappointed they now charge $20 a stay for parking/EV charging which the free charging was a huge perk for me staying here in the past many years. Over two days that's enough to get 58KWH of charge from the nearby Supercharger, which is nearly an 80% charge.
We really liked this hotel when we stayed here a year ago. We thought this would be our standard SLC airport stay but this time the airport shuttle is booked for 3 solid hours on a Tuesday morning and the steady stream of airplane noise is much louder than we remembered. If the airport shuttle is a feature you’re looking for on arrival or departure, or the sounds of planes bother you, I would strongly encourage you to reconsider. Great room layout and we couldn’t hear people in the room beside us. No hot tub.
