The Courtyard by Marriott Salt Lake City Airport offers convenient access to the airport and surrounding area, particularly for travelers. However, recent reviews highlight inconsistent shuttle service, issues with room cleanliness and outdated facilities, and challenges with customer service. While some guests appreciate the location and upgraded rooms, several express concerns about the hotel's overall quality and reliability.

January 2025. On our ways to and back from the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, we slept at the Marriot Salt Lake City Airport. The location is great to rent a car at SIXT (Walking distance) and to transfer to and from the airport. Otherwise, standard quality of the rooms and the services.

Used the airport parking and shuttle service. Was super bummed to get back to SLC and be told we had to wait for 45 minutes to be picked up by the shuttle because "we didn't pay for the shuttle, just parking" I thought it was our new parking win but learned quickly that it's definitely not worth it when you can park your car there but can't get back to it using their shuttle in a timely manner. Plus they said to call back when we were "ready to be picked up" and then told us we needed to wait 45 minutes.

Stayed here a few weeks ago for work and the hotel itself is nice but the service is poor. I checked out a day early because my FIL had a stroke and I jumped a plane urgently to get home. When I landed on the east coast 6 hours later; I noticed I still did not get my bill and I still had a mobile key. As a 8 year Elite member; I knew something was wrong. I had to contact the hotel and she said no one ever checked me out because my reservation was until the next day, but she would take care of it. Then, I get my bill and see a $63.63 charge was added for the restaurant that I did not eat at (not even for breakfast). I should have asked for a paper receipt but my mind was otherwise occupied. I called twice and showed up on a subsequent trip to get this resolved as it was charged to my company credit card. I wanted to see the receipt that was “signed” to charge to my room but I was told “oh the manager isn’t here and she will get back to you before the end of the week”. Well here it is a week later and still no response. I will be filing a report with the Better Business Bureau as this is unacceptable. I have since moved to another Marriott hotel nearby as I travel to SLC weekly. If you do end up staying here, do yourself a favor and get a paper receipt upon checkout. Learn from my costly mistake.

Nice hotel and I was upgraded to a larger room. The ONLY complaint I had was that there was a few LONG STRANDS of hair in the toilet and they did NOT flush down the toilet which meant a TOILET BRUSH was NOT used when the bathroom was cleaned before I arrived. Gross! I got some added points to my Bonvoy account.

Not bad for the price but when I checked in, I reserved a spot on the 8am airport shuttle for the next morning. When I went to the lobby at 7:50am, the morning clerk said I was not scheduled for the shuttle. The afternoon clerk never put me on the list! There was an elderly couple that also had no seat on the shuttle, so I didn't take the chance and took an Uber so I didn't miss my flight. Employees were nice but not thorough.

Great hotel located conveniently close to the airport. There is a shuttle that runs every 30 minutes. Make sure you tell the front desk and reserve a spot. Check in was easy and the person at the desk was extra nice.

I didn't stay in the hotel but use this location for parking when I fly home .. Jamal was my shuttle driver and man.. dude was incredibly accommodating. My favorite driver thus far! Happy Holidays to you and your family brother!

Above average rooms for Courtyard standards. HVAC is a lil annoying. Friendly but understaffed in restaurant area. Would be 4 or 5 but their shuttle service is atrocious. 1. Call to get schedule and they say oh you call. 2. Driver drove away as I was walking towards him to head back to airport because in the morning they are on a schedule. 3. 3rd shuttle driver asked if I worked for an airline. No? Oh I don’t work for the hotel (while in a Marriott courtyard can) proceeded to park and get out an smoke a cigarette. Had to call an uber….

It would be a good property, except that the help they have the front desk is absolutely worthless. The Gus name was Mahmoud and he was extremely rude. He is difficult to understand and interrupts customers when they speak. When I checked in Mahmoud said he would need to run my credit card twice for some reason. When I asked why the need to run it twice all he keept saying is I will tell you, but he never explained why. When I asked about the airport shuttle, Mahmoud at the front desk said all shuttle buses were full for the day. The airport shuttle is the only reason I picked this poor run hotel. This hotel staff is a disgrace to the Marriott name. I will stay at the Hilton next time and I am a Titanium elite member at Marriott.

As noted in other reviews, the room was hot. Nighttime desk person was friendly, understanding and responsive. Location obviously great. But we will never stay here again. We booked this Marriott so that we would be close to the airport for a late night arrival. Flight was late; of course. The airport Residence Inn is five minute drive away. Called hotel at 11:20 (1:20 on internal clock). Got in shuttle at 11:45. The shuttle took us to the DOWNTOWN Residence Inn FIRST to drop the flight crew before going to the airport hotel. There were children aged 3 to 10 in the van. If the driver couldn't drop the families off first, he could have said "Hey, y'all, I'm so sorry but my route takes me downtown first. If you want to take an uber, you'll get there a lot faster." Pretty sure the pilot (with flight crew) either treats shuttle drivers poorly or tipped the driver to drop them off first. The crew would have had to wait 8 more minutes to get to their hotel had the driver stopped at airport location first. Instead, families 45 minutes so that the crew could be dropped off first. My hot take? Stay at the downtown location. The shuttle will take you there first. It's a nicer hotel and better location.
