Guests praise the convenient airport location and the friendly, accommodating staff, particularly highlighting specific employees like Edgar, Morgan, and Garrett. However, the property suffers from complaints regarding very hard-to-come-by accessible rooms for disabled guests, significant service attitude issues, and dated or poor-maintained room conditions.
The pool is so tiny and cold. They charge you a fee for parking which is ridiculous. And one of the receptionists is so rude. I requested maintenence because my room has a nail coming from the floor and after hour and a half she said that there was no maintenence that evening. So then I requested a change of room and she was rude and mad.
Stayed here two nights in Room 408. I was unexpectedly upgraded to a family suite, which was a nice surprise, and the room itself had a lot going for it: updated fixtures, great water pressure, plenty of outlets by the beds, a mini-fridge, microwave, two TVs, and a Keurig in the room (plus fresh coffee in the lobby). The restaurant in the lobby is genuinely good, the fitness center was clean, and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful throughout the stay. That said, a few maintenance issues stood out. The biggest problem was the fan in the room, which made a loud clicking noise all night and was hard to ignore. There was also a broken bathroom tile that shifted when you stepped on it, and in a few spots the carpet felt bumpy, like something was left underneath during installation. The pool was also closed, which was disappointing. Overall, it’s a nice hotel with solid amenities and great staff, but a few fixable issues kept it from being a great stay.
Edgar has to be hands down the best front desk manager I’ve ever met, and I’ve spent hundreds of nights in some of the nicest hotels across the globe. Truly wish him the best of karma and luck in his life ??
They don’t provide any sort of cups so you can’t get any water. They provide fridge and microwave. Bed was full of red, black, blue, and yellow fuzzies. If you due end up thirsty from lack of cups in the room. Feel free to head down to the lobby for $3 bottle of water NO CASH PAYMENT ALLOWED. Not only is it over priced and great value water but you must pay with card. So if you spent your last few bank dollars to get a room, scrapped up change just to quince your thirst, I got bad news can’t help you there. Price is cheap and other than the bed issue the rooms are great horrible views but great. I would recommend heavily to get snacks and drinks before staying in for the night. The price is in fact not right for that. Cash apparently isn’t a legal tender here either.
We visit several times a year and enjoy staying here. Beds are comfortable and I like that they have a variety of pillows to suit your preference. Kudos to Morgan and Garrett who are always very helpful. The housekeeping ladies are also very nice.
We came for a work conference and stayed in a King Suite. The room size worked well for the 2 of us but also had a small pull out couch. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Overall it felt somewhat dingy but served its purpose. The toilet didn’t flush well and the shower smelled of mildew when it became steamy. I noticed part of the shower wall needed to be repaired and hadn’t had a good cleaning on the shower head in quite some time. Our mini fridge was loud and outside of the constant hum made a weird noise at times. Breakfast is not worth the $15 and there are no nearby restaurants either. Pool was cold, Hot tub was warm enough to sit but not relax. I would stay again for a work conference but wouldn’t recommend for a family or if you were going to spend more time in the room.
We stayed here for 2 nights. Morgan was the desk clerk most of the time we were working. She was so accommodating. The hotel was clean and conveniently located. The housekeeping staff went above and beyond for us when they didn't have to. We used Uber for our stay and it only took them minutes to get to us each trip. Additionally, the shuttle back and forth to the airport was efficient and so convenient. I would stay here again.
I had a wonderful stay at the IHG hotel near the Salt Lake City airport! The location was super convenient—just a few minutes from the airport and close to plenty of great restaurants. The views of the mountains were absolutely stunning, especially at sunrise. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Perfect spot for a relaxing stay before or after a flight!
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE. My husband booked a room with a handicap accessible tub. He has MS and needs to soak for a while due to the neuropathy of the disease. MS is a permanent condition that gets worse (no cure), and with his symptoms, he can't stand long enough for good, long showers. He booked his stay for 4 nights. The hotel would only give him a QUEEN room with a tub for ONE night. The rest wof the 3 nights with shower only. We paid for a king room with accessible tub. Prepaid mind you. The hotel absolutely would not work with him. He flew to SLC to see his dying brother who is on hospice. Nice going Holiday Inn Express SLC West. Completely disappointed with your property.
Just a basic holiday inn & suites location. The elevator was down and the front desk associate said it could be down for weeks. Was able to use the service elevator but that is really inconvenient for the front desk staff. No free breakfast. Hotel restaurant was pretty good actually. Good location close to the airport. TV guide is not easy to navigate due to remote being too basic. Key card didn't work my entire stay. For $150/night I did expect a little more. Room was a little dated. Also not entirely pet friendly. Our cat was able to crawl up underneath the mattress box spring. Had to flip the mattress to get her out. The bed wasn't a true platform that is sealed off. This could easily happen to a small dog as well.
