Good experience desk worker, Christopher. With Liberian accent. So light and jovial. Come New York and we will make you pepe soup ?
I had to check out early due to mitigating circumstances and they refuse to refund me for the remaining unused days I paid for. Not a great hotel in the first place but I would not have left this review had they just gave me my money back for the time that I wasn’t even there. They got to rent out the room again and double dip. Unprofessional. There’s better hotels in the area, avoid this one.
This is one of my favorite Comfort Inns, and I've stayed at many of them across the West and Midewst, this year. The rooms are nice and well maintained. The heated indoor pool is fantastic, and was the reason I stayed there. Sharon, the lady at the front desk, was very kind about getting the dog added to our room when that was missed during checkin. And I can't remember the manager's name, but he was very nice and friendly, also. I ended up extending my stay, a couple of weeks longer than I'd originally intended.
Great hotel, loved the hot tub and the pool, quality breakfast, very cozy lobby and very friendly wonderful staff every day! The room was nice but not luxurious, the tv was pretty old but worked great. Comfy beds with plenty of storage areas and dresser drawers. Good fridge and microwave! The water pressure was fierce, almost too strong but very good. Just a good solid hotel
Only thing this hotel has going for it is the location. Plenty to do around it. Mattress is old and not comfortable. Luggage carts are falling apart. There was even something spilled under the sink counter from previous guest that wasn't cleaned up. I really think the Comfort Inn and Suites headquarters should come in and do an audit.
If I could leave a negative star rating I would. First let me say the night clerk/manager was absolutely wonderful as we were checking in. All went south the next morning when a maid and hotel maintenance knocked on our door. Not only did we have the DO NOT DISTURB out on the door check out wasn’t until 11am. After yelling through the door twice NOT to come in, they unlocked our door and starting walking in (9:30 am) HIGHY INAPPROPRIATELY behavior for any hotel staff. Be wary of this hotel! Requested a call from the manager and/or owner operator of the hotel on check out and have not heard a thing!
My first impression as I walked in. Guy at front desk was very nonchalant no personality at all but overall an easy check in. There is only one elevator so expect to wait in line if it’s a busy hour of check ins. As we make it to our floor I notice the esthetics were very outdated and dirty from doors to carpet to furniture, and curtains. Everything is old fashion including the key card to get into the room. You have to swipe like a credit card. Once in the room it smelled clean but again everything is super outdated. Not very much lighting either. I inspect everything and as I’m checking the pillows I notice hair, makeup stains and a stench. It is absolutely obvious the house keepers didn’t change out the pillow cases and it makes me question if the sheets and blankets were changed out. I had to call the front desk for some new pillow cases and they did bring me some right away. I would give it an overall score of 4/10.
First time in Salt lake City for a business trip. The hotel was nice and had clean rooms. The lady at the front desk just started but was very friendly and easy to work with at check in. They do have a $100 hold on top of your stay until you leave it was released within 24 to 48hrs after checkout for me. They serve breakfast from 6am to 9am I believe a nice selection I had eggs hash browns toasts and sausage plus some apple juice. They had other options as well. The location is great next to many restaurants and bars plus easy access to the highway. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because my room faced the front parking lot and you cannot close the blinds all the way so the parking lot lights shined through my window all night or maybe I just couldn't figure it out. Other than that I had a great stay and will be back if I visit salt lake City again.
The room and location are great - so many places to eat within walking distance. The room was clean and to my liking (I’m a very picky person when it comes to cleaning). HOWEVER, the worker at the front desk named Atlas had a very big attitude problem. Was quite rude to me over something simple. She was also wearing those Nike slip on shoes… didn’t seem very professional to me. She gave the appearance of someone who half-asses everything. If something isn’t to your liking and you bring it up to her, watch out! She will grumble and whine.
I do not recommend this hotel. I was so surprised, because I have stayed in numerous Comfort Inns across the country, and I’ve always had a wonderful experience. This was well below the standards I would expect from a Comfort Inn. We requested a room with two queen beds, and were given 2 double beds instead. 2 lightbulbs were out and it was dim and dingy. It wasn’t very clean- cobwebs in the lamps and lots of dust in the heater/ air conditioner. The room was very small too, much smaller than any Comfort Inn I’d been in before. Just a big disappointment. I’ll never be back.
