The La Quinta Inn & Suites South Jordan offers a generally positive experience with notable cleanliness and a convenient location near I-15 and the Front Runner Station. Recent renovations and friendly staff contribute to a comfortable stay, although some reviews highlight minor maintenance issues and noise concerns.
As with a lot of things, there were some good things and some bad things about this hotel. The rooms were too big, and not well organized. I often feel like this does make a difference, especially in how you feel when you're in the room. It makes the room awkward if the proportion of furniture to room is off. The lady at the front desk was really accommodating and had a good personality. I talked with her multiple times and each interaction went well. The spigot for my bathtub was broken or coming off the wall when I arrived. I guess one good thing about the open space was that it made it easier to see if anything was left behind before leaving. Overall I enjoyed my stay here.
My wife & I stayed 2 nights at the LaQuinta Inn in South Jordan February 11 & 12th checking out on the 13th. This was our 1st time at this property however we have stayed in the SLC Area many times. I would rate this property as our best stay in SLC. We had a King Suite, the property was clean, the bed comfortable, and residual room noise from other rooms minimal. The breakfast was decent for a motel, & breakfast staff was attentive to keeping area clean & stocked. The location was close to Front Runner Station that we used to go downtown to the Western Expo at the Salt Palace. We would recommend and stay here again.
We had an excellent experience at La Quinta Inn in South Jordan, and Zachary absolutely made our stay stand out. When we realized our refrigerator wasn’t cooling properly, he personally came to our room to take a look. Not only that, but later when my wife happened to walk by the front desk, he proactively asked her if it was working better. That level of follow-up already impressed us. When we checked and found it still wasn’t cooling, Zachary didn’t hesitate. Within five minutes, he was at our door with a brand-new refrigerator. He quickly swapped it out and made sure everything was working perfectly before leaving. No excuses. No delays. Just immediate action and genuine care. That’s what exceptional customer service looks like. We truly felt taken care of, and it made a big difference in our stay. Because of Zachary’s professionalism and attention to detail, we would absolutely recommend this location to anyone staying in the area. Five stars all the way.Thank you Zachary!!
Pros: Location was very handy to I15 but didn't feel on top of it. Good city access. Room was lovely, spacious and clean with a great view. Good bed and quality linens. Elevators were great. Breakfast had good quality things for almost any dietary demands. Lobby was spacious, clean & stylish. Staff were both young and nice. It was a very fair price for the quality even with the Meh/Con issues below. Meh or Cons: These could have 'mostly' been fixed with extra communication from us or moving rooms but we were busy - they just added up & no one wants to be that fussy customer. Our room had a weird crayon-y smell that we couldn't air condition away. Windows didn't crack or open. Microwave didn't work. In room coffee was bare bones/no tea bags (but I did find reg & decaf black tea bags tucked away out of sight in one coffee station downstairs) Room service didnt show up one day so I chased down replacing towels & getting another shampoo . (There isn't a towel bar to hang towels to dry) No facial tissues ever despite a box being on the bathroom counter. Over 4 days toilet paper wasn't added/back stocked & almost ran out. Due to the shower door placement with the temp control, you had to figure out to pre-adjust the shower head to the wall so you could turn on the water to warm up and not be blasted with cold water either fully clothed or fully unprotected. Then monitor the temp by stretching an arm into the shower, then finally stepping in and re-adjusting the shower head to a usable direction. It was gloriously & unusually warm but no place to sit outside. Still I'd stay here again for the price.
The rooms were clean and the beds were reasonably comfortable, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the TV did not work at all during my stay, which was disappointing. The biggest issue was the noise. It feels like there is zero insulation, you can hear everything, and it was so loud that sleeping was extremely difficult. If you stay here, I strongly recommend bringing a loud white noise machine or app just to get some rest. On a positive note, the front desk staff were very nice and helpful, which made the experience a bit better. Overall, it has potential, but the noise level and broken TV really took away from the stay.
This a great place to stay. Hotel staff are excellent and friendly. Great breakfast and nice rooms. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Thanks for a great stay.
This is so much better than a 3 star hotel! Friendly people, nice clean, newly-remodeled rooms and fair rates. Breakfast is the same most days, but at least it's a hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, bacon, and waffles. Standard fare, but tasty and fresh.
We rented 2 rooms ourselves. Then with my inlaws we rented 3. My family checked in the 20th and left the 21st. I didn't get the name of the young lady that checked us in. But she was so sweet and accommodating. Lacey was definitely fun and outgoing. Giving you the homely type feeling. We lived the all you can eat breakfast buffet and took full advantage of your coffee coco bar. House keeping was sweet and accommodating as well. Thank you for the comfortable stay.
My family and I enjoyed our stay over the holidays. Check in/check out went smoothly. The rooms were great for my family. We enjoyed the hot breakfast, pool and fitness room, as well as the complimentary coffee and hot chocolate machine located in the lobby during our stay. The front desk attendants Mary, Tina and the GM Lauren were all so welcoming, kind and friendly. This hotel is clean and well kept, located in a safe area with lots of nearby restaurants, shops and activities.
I've stayed here 3 times for different concerts in the area and have decided to make this my go-to when needing a place in the Salt Lake area! It's easy to get to, quiet location, close to food and gas. The hot tub and pool area are always clean and tidy. The breakfast has a lot of options, all great. The hotel overall is well kept, clean, and has a friendly environment. As a solo traveler, I love my stays here!
