Extended Stay America Salt Lake City - West Valley Center consistently receives positive feedback, largely driven by its friendly and helpful staff, particularly the manager, April. Guests appreciate the affordable rates and convenient location, although cleanliness and property condition are recurring concerns. The hotel offers basic amenities suitable for extended stays.
With my ESA animals Extended Stay has been exceptional and accommodating. Great freeway access and actually quite inside youre rooms. Ask for April and Jody at the desk. They will take good care of you. As always remind them Jody A. Sent you. 5-stars by far
April the manager is freaking AWESOME!!! She helped me out when she didn't have to... I unexpectedly had to move into a hotel and only being paid twice a month I was behind for like 4 weeks. April was understanding and patient until I got caught up with rent and was able to pay payday to payday... The staff as a whole are absolutely GREAT!!! I would recommend this place for anyone in-between homes...
I genuinely love this place. I love the staff. April is absolutely amazing. On top of her professionalism she is very attentive to her tenants and guests. She is also an absolute blast to talk to and see as I’m here. Any problems we bring or have brought to her attention has been handled quickly and professionally. Her staff team are just absolutely amazing as well. I really have not had a negative experience here or with staff. I genuinely recommend this hotel to anyone looking. ??
Comfortable Stay with Friendly and Helpful Staff I recently spent a week at this property and was overall very satisfied with my stay. After experiencing a difficult personal situation, I was grateful to find affordable accommodations through a $55-per-night coupon and a reservation made via Booking.com. I stayed in a Queen Suite with a kitchenette, which proved to be comfortable and practical for an extended stay. The check-in process was efficient and welcoming. The front desk agent was both friendly and professional, taking the time to explain that the elevator was out of service and offering sincere apologies. My room was located on the third floor, which required multiple trips up the stairs with my belongings, but once settled, I found the room to be spacious and well-appointed. The suite included a full-size refrigerator, a two-burner stove, and a kitchen sink. The bathroom was clean and stocked with adequate toiletries and towels. During my stay, I noticed a sign offering “Customize Your Kitchen” amenities, which I was not informed about during check-in. It would be helpful for staff to mention such details in advance, along with information regarding housekeeping. Rooms are serviced only upon checkout, so guests are responsible for exchanging towels and maintaining their own linens. The laundry facilities were convenient but somewhat expensive ($3.50 for washing and $3.25 for drying). The vending machines were also pricey, and the lack of a change machine required me to travel a short distance to obtain coins. The first two nights were somewhat noisy due to other guests, but management handled the situation promptly and effectively, ensuring a peaceful remainder of my stay. Despite these minor inconveniences, I was impressed by the professionalism and compassion of the staff, including the general manager. The hotel’s location near I-215 is convenient, with several restaurants and shops within walking distance. Overall, my experience was positive, and I would not hesitate to return. Extended Stay America – West Valley Center offers a comfortable and accommodating environment at a reasonable rate, supported by a kind and attentive staff.
I had a great experience at the Extended Stay America in West Valley. The room was clean, spacious, and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay — especially the full kitchen, which made it easy to feel at home. The staff were friendly and helpful, always greeting me with a smile and willing to assist with anything I needed. The location is convenient, close to restaurants, shopping, and easy freeway access, but still quiet enough to relax. The property felt safe and well-maintained, and the housekeeping team did a great job keeping everything tidy. If you’re staying for work, travel, or just need a comfortable home base for a while, I definitely recommend this hotel. It’s a great value and made my time in West Valley stress-free and enjoyable!
After a very long day and everything going wrong, (my car got towed) I ended my night with an experience that immediately brightened me up and made me smile. As I was checking in, the front desk attendant, Korra, was incredibly helpful, positive and attentive. She understood the stress I was under and did everything to make the checking in process easy and simple for me. She made sure my room was neat and ready, and kept up a conversation. She complimented me, telling me that my bag was lovely and keeping an upbeat and warm attitude, it helped me move on from the stress of the day. When we finished the process, she told me to let her know if I needed anything. I then headed to my room, which was in pristine condition. It even had a kitchen! The rest of my stay was relaxing and just what I needed. Not to mention the price was very reasonable and the location was ideal as it was surrounded by restaurants. I will definitely be coming back to this location again.
Just don't.. The location is amazing. Walking distance to quite a few restaurant options. There is a nice bar on the corner and its right next to the Maverick center. Unfortunately thats where the positives end. Uhm.. here's the deal after talking with staff who were very helpful and understanding. I found out that there have been people living here for as long as 3 years. The over all condition of the property is just bad, its old and VERY run down. Zero pride of ownership. I had to get my orginal room changed due to the bathroomm tub looking like it hasn't been cleaned in a month. The second room was better although the sink is just... wow. I should have gone through the reviews. Your not going to like the vibe and there is a good chance that your not going to feel safe while staying here. I have stayed at the crystal inn and the comfort inn located next door to this place. I wanted to try out this place to see what it was like. As my experience at the other 2 hotels were nothing but positive. This place is just sad. Both rooms smell musty, the hallways are just run down, dirty, and smelly. Several rooms had notices on them about pets. The stairwell doesn't get cleaned very often... Just don't come here. There is nothing about this location that I could recommend. Considering it's in-between 2 other hotel properties that are leaps and bound above what your going to experience here.
The night manager is absolutely a very judgmental and very rude individual. S ok I s the lady that manages the building in the morning. They were very difficult to work with and to figure out a solution to not only mine but there problems as well. He seemed to get more and more excitement and pleasure out of ridiculing my spouse and I. I find it difficult to understand why others have to treat the people around them as bad as they can and then find pleasure in doing so
Our experience at the ESA on City Center Court has been the BEST EVER!!! The pricing was affordable and the cleanliness was great. The best part of our stay, THE STAFF!!! Very genuine, professional and friendly.
Dirty. We stayed here after an event because it was within walking distance. I truly do not believe our room was cleaned before we arrived. I wish I would have taken photos but there were too many things. Blue toothpaste in the sink. Left over hair and food drippings in the fridge and crumbs on the counter. Brown splatter on the kitchen cabinets and white on the carpet. Dried Food on the bed skirt. I was SHOCKED. It was disgusting. We learned our lesson. Stay at your own risk
