The Ellerbeck Bed & Breakfast offers a charming and historic stay in the Avenues neighborhood of Salt Lake City. Guests consistently praise the beautiful décor, attentive service, delicious breakfasts, and comfortable rooms. While some minor concerns regarding room amenities are noted, the overall experience is described as special and memorable.
Beautiful, cozy, and charming B&B in the Avenues! We stayed for 2 nights for a little “staycation” in January. Every detail was so thoughtful & tasteful. Gorgeous antique furniture. Delicious breakfast & wonderful service. We ordered a special package and they were super accommodating with our requests and the spread was stunning. Parking lot was convenient and safe (as was the whole property). I kept gushing over how lovely everything was the whole stay. Truly does feel like being transported to a different time. Overall a very special experience.
The place is such a lovely little gem! As someone that previously lived in SLC, it’s fun to come back and stay in a place like this while visiting friends & family. I love the Avenues neighborhood— great location, the mansion’s vintage charm , great cafe/breakfast , cozy beds. Staff is excellent and so kind. I will most definitely stay again. Thank you!
We stayed for 3 days, 2 nights in the sunstone room and were so happy with our stay! The room was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. The balcony was lovely and we could see the state capital lights! The only thing I might suggest is curtains, as the blinds didn't block out the streetlights very well, so it never really got dark in our room. On the plus, it was very easy to see when going to the bathroom in the middle of the night! We walked to the capital (about .8 mile one way) and could have walked into downtown (about 1.5 miles one way) but it was raining and I didn't bring shoes for that much of a walk. If you plan for it, it's possible so you don't have to pay for parking downtown! Breakfast was amazing, as were the daily cookies, and Victoriya was very kind to suggested restaurants for us. Our stay was to celebrate my 30th birthday and I couldn't have asked for a better way to ring in the new decade. Thank you!
My husband and I booked a night here for my birthday, and we had the best time! I was in love with the home's historical aspect and its impeccable decor. It was my first time staying at a bed and breakfast, and I wasn't sure what to expect. The whole experience felt very homey and cozy. I woke up on Sunday morning to the smell of breakfast, and the breakfast was delicious and homemade. It was fun to mingle with the other guests over breakfast, but you certainly didn't have to if you'd prefer to dine alone. I'm so glad I booked a night here, and I will definitely be back. It was such a fun experience compared to a traditional hotel. Much more personalized and friendly.
Our first time staying in Salt Lake City and the Ellerbeck was perfect. We stayed 2 nights before we ventured out to explore UT. The Inn keepers were excellent on communication for checking in. Very clean and quiet. We loved the neighborhood and felt very safe waking to a restaurant about 8 blocks away. The breakfast provided was delicious and they had an array of choices...just make sure to sign up for a time slot the night before. We ended up staying again for one night before we flew home. We had a very early morning flight and the Inn keeper left us some granola yogurts to go which were perfect. We would highly recommend staying here!
Staying at Ellerbeck was an absolute delight! My daughter and I felt so comfortable and safe. Victoriya, the Inn Keeper is adorable and sweet and so attentive! The rest of the staff was so wonderful as well! The home is conveniently located downtown, but still feels quiet. The interior of the home is old and charming and yet has enough modern touches to feel clean and comfortable; it’s so thoughtfully curated with the loveliest details! The bed was divine! The food, oh the food! We couldn’t believe it! So good! Must try is the avocado toast with radishes! 10 out of 10 for Ellerbeck! If you’re wondering if it’s worth it, it IS - in every way!
Wow! What a wonderful stay! We stayed in the 1st floor Wasatch room, such an absolute comfy, giant bed & big, beautiful room! The home is gorgeous with antique furnishings and decor. Spotlessly clean! We only stayed 1 night, and look forward to a return trip soon! Our morning breakfast of the brioche French toast was so delicious. Stephanie was the hostess and so sweet. Easy to find and love the self check in. Very clear communication via email & text with all the information necessary for our stay. Thank you!!
My boyfriend and I had an amazing time at the Ellerbeck B&B. The innkeepers, particularly Victoryia, were extremely helpful and the breakfast was delicious. The room was comfortable, and if you book the Sunstone Suite, you have a balcony to enjoy your morning coffee on. Just watch out for the parking in the back - it can get very tight. (Street parking is much easier.) The location is very convenient to all the SLC sights. 10/10 would definitely stay here again.
Such a great experience—especially if you’re interested in Utah and Mormon history. It truly takes you back in time with all the beautiful original details. The room was very clean, and I loved the mix of historic pieces throughout the space. Tyler served us a delicious breakfast and was incredibly friendly and helpful. We’re local, but we’ll definitely be recommending this place to all our friends when they come to visit.
Oh. My. Goodness. If I could give 10 stars I would. This place is genuinely the most beautiful and enchanting slice of heaven. From the superb communication, the incredible decor and the service that quite literally makes you feel like you stepped by in time. This place blew me away. Victoriya was quite honestly the best host we have ever had and she made the most delicious breakfast for us! They thought of everything here. Man what a magical experience. Thank you, Ellerbeck and thank you Victoriya for helping us step back in time. Lots of love ?
