Most guests praise the hotel's convenient location near shopping and medical centers, alongside its comfortable suites and clean accommodations. However, several recent reviews report significant criticism regarding overbooking cancellations, excessive room rates, damaged showers, and minor maintenance issues like missing remotes.
Right before checkin, my reservation was cancelled for no other reason than they were overbooked and I hadn't checked in yet (7pm). I made my reservation weeks in advance, so I am confused as to why my reservation was cancelled for overbooking, as it couldn't have been overbooked when I made it. This is NOT quality customer service.
Everything went well particularly with the staff. I want to give a special shout out to Miss Lynne Hall who went the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable. Property was close to main shops , easy access and food places . Parking is way and complimentary . Room was very nice, I really like the little kitchen area and the real dishes and silverware provided. Overall our stay was good. I loved it from all perspective .
Marriott is terrible and this motel is another example of the gaslighting Americans are getting from the billionaires that are running this country. Everything about this motel is terrible. Don't stay here. TV, aircon, laundry, housekeeping, it's all bad. Shower has no door, breakfast is manufactured eggs and questionable meats. Coffee was as cold as the staff and lack of sidewalk in the parking lot caused a sprained ankle. Find another place to stay.
TownePlaceSuites by Marriott at Murray was so clean and comfortable to stay especially for big family like us! The kids loved the swimming even in snowing outside as it's indoor pool. It was so nice to have separate living room to chill out. The location was also convenient. Of course it comes with hot breakfast :)
UPDATE: 10/02/2025.We are here again for more Dr's appointments. It's as awesome as it was before! I love this place! We recently stayed overnight. The rooms were beautiful. The staff was very nice. We stayed in a room with a full refrigerator with an icemaker. It has a stove top and dishwasher. It comes equipped with all you need. At first, the air conditioning wasn't working very well, but it finally cooled off. We are going back next month when I have surgery. We will be there for 3 days. The coffee was really good. Some Marriott brand hotels don't have good coffee. They had 1/2 and 1/2 too. A nice mix of food for breakfast. Really cold milk. That's the best!
Nice stay at TownePlace Suites in Murray. The room was modern and comfortable, and I liked the decor. Location is convenient, staff was decent, and the heated indoor pool was a great perk. The buffet breakfast had a good variety too. On the downside, I couldn’t get the TV streaming to work, the bathroom faucets could have been better (a hand spray would’ve been nice), and while breakfast items looked good, the taste was just okay. Overall, a clean, comfortable hotel with a lot going for it — I’d stay here again.
I like this hotel. I've stayed here on three different occasions. The front desk host was helpful the first two times and was on top of the service. The third time was rather lackluster. It felt as if we were inconveniencing her that we are checking in. The room didn't have a remote control. The same front desk host said she may have an extra, but we would have to go downstairs to grab it from her. The light in the closet vanity also wasn't working, which did impact the quality of our stay because I use that mirror as opposed to the higher bathroom mirror. Breakfast is decent. Just a typical continental breakfast, including fruit, yogurts, oatmeal, eggs, bagels, and other items. Aside from the service that one time and the room missing some functionalities, I will still be booking my rooms with them.
One of our go to spots to stay while in town. Rooms have cozy beds, good AC, and bathtubs. One of the better fitness centers I’ve seen at a hotel. Good service and very clean
Checked in for 12 minutes. Had to leave back home because wife said she might be going into labor. They refused to refund the room. All we did was sit on the couch. Rate was outrageous. 200+ for one room. I usually stay at my friend's hotel and he gives me a larger room for 170 after fees and tax. The employees are nice but not well dressed, so this is a reflection on the manager and owners. Townplace hotels are the same in every state. Do not stay here.
My husband and I often travel with our family and have come to appreciate the comfort typically associated with Marriott hotels. We usually look forward to a reliable experience, especially regarding the quality of the beds and pillows. However, our recent stay at Hotel M provided some noteworthy contrasts. We were visiting Salt Lake City Murray for our daughter's medical procedure, which understandably filled me with anxiety the night before our arrival. Thankfully, the receptionist at the front desk was exceptionally kind and went out of her way to assist us, which helped alleviate my worries immensely. Her warmth and support significantly impacted our overall experience at the hotel.
