Le Méridien Salt Lake City Downtown offers a modern and upscale experience in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City, boasting a fantastic rooftop pool and convenient access to local attractions. However, recent reviews indicate inconsistencies in service, some logistical challenges like mobile key issues, and concerns regarding noise levels and bathroom features, alongside a lack of value for the price.

Gorgeous room! Looks exactly as depicted at time of booking. I was very happy with the overall aesthetic and cleanliness of the entire hotel including my room. On my trip I had a horrible episode and was sick but the not contagious kind. The hotel staff was so very incredibly supportive in what was a terrible feeling when so far from home. One of the front desk folks even called before their shift to check on me, see if I needed to go to urgent care or the hospital I had asked about earlier and brought up a delivery of some anti nausea items from uber. That’s a quality and kindness that comes from the core of a person. It was so lovely and made a difference for me in a really difficult day. The housekeeping team too helped above and beyond. Foam pillows and feather are ok but not supportive. I had to use quite a few. The mobile key I could not get to work my entire stay on the door to my room. I’ve been able to use it before at other properties so not sure if it was the door, my phone or a tech issue. Mobile and physical key both worked in the elevator to get to my floor. TV and logging into Netflix worked great no issues. Some nights I could hear some music drifting not sure if from a restaurant or bar in the building or nearby. Finished up around 11pm or so. Wasn’t bumping loud but I was aware of it. If you’re ordering delivery or courier you need to go and pick it up in the lobby on the table to the left of the front desk. Around check in time each day the front desk has some treats out. There is a hyacinth basket for Bonvoy member checking out to drop their key cards into. Pool is fabulous. I used it most days. It is heated to between 90-95 Fahrenheit and made for a pleasant swim and floating time. The pool is 3 feet to 3 ft 7in deep. Deck upstairs is beautiful both the view and aesthetics of the furniture. Would absolutely stay at again and recommend.

The location of Le Méridien Salt Lake City is great, easy walking distance to the Delta Center, and the room was clean and spacious. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. At nearly $400 per night, the experience doesn’t justify the price. The in-room coffee machine barely worked, and service throughout the hotel felt indifferent. The rooftop bar was especially disappointing. Three bartenders, yet drinks took forever, cocktails were around $20, and the staff was noticeably unfriendly. I was initially told I needed a card to open a tab, but when I said I’d sign the check, suddenly it wasn’t necessary. The rooftop was packed, with many tables marked “reserved” but sitting empty, so don’t expect to casually go up for a drink. Valet costs $40 per night, and even after calling ahead to have the car ready, we still had to wait while they retrieved the keys and went to get the car. Checkout was equally impersonal, no one asked how the stay was. Nice location and decent rooms, but poor hospitality and overpriced for what you get. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Great location to all things downtown Salt Lake. The room was very clean with a lovely shower and very comfy bed! If I ever go to SLC again I would definitely stay here.

Beware Marriott platinum members. This hotel does not care about Marriott member loyalty. Oversold. “Honored” my reservation by offering a room in the adjacent hotel they manage, an inferior product at a much cheaper price point. Felt like normal operating procedures and I am curious how often they do this. My best guess is that dynamic rates were higher than my reservation the night I arrived. Made financial sense to stick me in the other hotel and take the higher rate from a new customer. The front desk employee was apologetic and said decision to oversell came down from “corporate”. Offered to take $100 off the room and provide some points to my account. Not something I would like to experience again, and I would suggest staying elsewhere in Salt Lake.

I stayed here for work- so can’t comment on value for money. The hotel rooms and bathrooms are spacious, bright and modern. The front desk staff were lovely. Would recommend to others.

This hotel is very nice I stayed here for a work conference for 5 days. My room was nice and clean. I also checked out the rooftop bar it was nice as well and cute to take photos. The location was perfect only a 3 min walk to the convention center. I would recommend to others in the future.

Such a nice, clean, brand new hotel! Staff is so helpful and the heated rooftop pool was amazing. Rooftop bar is also really nice. My two complaints are the lack of insulation between walls, and sliding bathroom doors. We were basically able to hear everything in our neighbors’ rooms and in the hallways, even if they were talking quietly. I think it’s such a bad choice on behalf of so many new construction buildings to opt out of… any soundproofing between rooms? And unless they go through the trouble of adding insulation after everything’s been done, the building will basically have no privacy for its whole lifetime. Insulation isn’t even that expensive, so minus one star for that and the bathroom doors, but overall a really nice hotel.

It was so close to being a perfect stay, but the front desk agent Angelica gave my wife and I a two king bed room in a hotel where we rarely ran into other people staying at the property. She also missed the mark not knowing that there was in fact a mini fridge in the room, but it looks like a dresser with 4 drawers below the TV area; we did not discover this until the day of check-out. She also forgot to inform us that hotel guests were entitled to a complimentary appetizer at Adelaide. A big time plus size to the room was the shower, very refreshing and beautiful decor. The view of the mountains from room was spectacular; fitness center was clean and boasted really nice views of downtown SLC; the pool also boasted great downtown/mountain views. The only thing that was off about the pool area was some algae at the bottom. The valet ticket retrieval system did not work for the entirety of our visit and on day of check-out the valet person was non-existent at 6:45am. The hotel front desk had to scramble to have someone who did not even work valet to retrieve our vehicle. I hope this valuable feedback helps Le Meridien SLC moving forth.

Great place to stay in SLC and use as a downtown city base to ski on the surrounding ski areas like Alta, Park City and Deer Valley. The room and staff were excellent and the roof top bar is worth a visit.

Very nice hotel—clean, spacious, and modern. The bed was extremely comfortable and parking was easy. The rooftop deck is a great touch. Every staff member I interacted with was polite and professional. I’ll definitely stay here again.
